Tim Summers
Coach Summers is excited to enter his 27th year of coaching. He played
baseball for four years at “baseball heaven,” Greenville College. He then
began his coaching career in the Vandalia school district, where he coached
baseball, basketball and football. He led the baseball team to two conference
championships. He retired in 2006 to follow his son, Trevor, who is a freshman
baseball player at Lake Land.
Coach Summers has been married for 26 years to his wife, Tanya, whom he credits
for all the good things in his life. Along with Trevor, the couple has a daughter,
Makayla, who is a cheerleader and straight “A” student at Vandalia Junior High.
