Coach Hills is in her fourth season coaching volleyball at Lake Land College.  In 2007, the Lakers finished first in the conference and first in Region 24 with a record of 27-13. The 2007 team's accomplishments include being ranked 17th in the nation, four All Region players, four All Conference players, conference Freshman of the Year, one All-American, and three Academic  All Americans.  Coach Hills was also named Region 24 Coach of the Year.  In her three years, Coach Hills and has coached four All-Americans and has earned a record of 86-28.

Coach Hills has an associate degree from Lake Land College, where she played volleyball for one year.  Hills received honors that include first team All Region and tournament teams.  Following her year at Lake Land College, she continued her education and volleyball career at Southeast Missouri State University.  Coach Hills played for two years for the Red Hawks while receiving All Conference awards

She graduated in 2005 from Southeast Missouri State University with a bachelor's degree in sport management with a concentration in business administration.
