Return to Play Information

Lake Land College and the Athletic Department Announce their return to play protocols.

Laker Athletics Return to Play Protocols

Physical Information

Lake Land College athletes are required to have an athletic physical on file before practice starts. Per NJCAA guidelines, athletic physicals are active for 13 consecutive months. Therefore, we recommend student-athletes have these completed during their sports’ off-season. If you are playing a sport at Lake Land College, please contact Health Services at 217-234-5276 or your coach for assistance.

Concussion Information

Lake Land College Athletics is committed to the safety and well-being of its students-athletes, including the prevention, identification, evaluation and management of concussions. Student-athletes are required to sign the Lake Land College Athletic Concussion Information Acknowledgement form. The Athletic Trainer will annually present educational material on concussions to student-athletes.

A concussion management plan will be implemented for any student-athlete who exhibits signs, symptoms or behaviors consistent with a concussion. The plan addresses the removal from practice or competition, evaluation by a licensed healthcare provider and the criteria for medical clearance to return to activity.
