Foundation Scholarship Application

Application Deadline: August 25 by 5:00 p.m.

In order to be eligible for a Lake Land College Foundation Scholarship, students must:

  1. Submit an Intent to Enroll for admission to Lake Land College
  2. Enroll as a full-time student.*
  3. Submit ONE Foundation Scholarship Application by the deadline**

Scholarship awards range from $100 to $2,000 per academic year.

* A limited number of scholarships are available to students attending part-time.

**Faculty Association and John Deere Ag Tech Scholarships require an additional application, which are found on the Scholarships webpage under the Foundation Scholarship Application link.

Scholarship awards are valid for one academic year, and all scholarship recipients for the current academic year must reapply for subsequent scholarship awards. Students are also strongly encouraged to apply for federal financial aid by completing a Free Application for Federal/Student Aid (FAFSA) application. Contact the office of Financial Aid & Veteran Services for more information.

The Blitz Scholarship Application must be submitted to the Lake Land College Foundation office by 5:00 p.m. August 25, for the 2017-2018 academic year. Applications for the 2017-2018 academic year will not be accepted after this date.

Only current high school seniors who are applying for a Presidential Scholarship and who are in the top 10 percent of their graduating class must complete this section.

5 Required Criteria

Scholarships are awarded to Lake Land College students based on the following (4) criteria.
Please complete each criterion with an essay of approximately 100 words.
Detailed essays and use of proper grammar will dramatically increase your chances of receiving a scholarship through the Foundation.
