Topics covered during Orientation: English Language Assessment testing, COMPASS placement testing, course registration, health insurance, banking, student life, immigration rules, etc. All new international students are required to attend this important orientation!

We offer a complimentary pick-up from one of the following three airports: University of Illinois Willard Airport, Savoy, IL (CMI), Lambert-St. Louis Airport, St. Louis, MO (STL) and Indianapolis International Airport, Indianapolis, IN (IND). We DO NOT offer pick up service from Chicago O’Hare Airport.
Your arrival date to one of the above three airports must fall within the following dates for each semester, no earlier or later. To request an airport pick-up, please email email@example.com with your arrival airport, date and time.
SPRING 2016 Arrival Dates: Saturday, January 2 – Tuesday, January 5, 2016
SUMMER 2016 Arrival Dates: Friday, May 27 – Tuesday, May 31, 2016
FALL 2016 Arrival Dates: Friday, August 12 – Tuesday, August 16, 2015
For an airport pick-up, please make your flight schedule so you are arrived on one of the following pick-up dates and airports:
Spring 2016 arrival for New Student:
Champaign- flight must arrive on January 2 or 3
St. Louis- flight must arrive on January 3 or 4
Indianapolis- flight must arrive on January 4 or 5, all by appointment*
Summer 2016 arrival:
Champaign- May 27 or 28
St. Louis- May 28 or 29
Indianapolis- May 30 or 31, all by appointment*
Fall 2016 arrival:
Champaign- August 12, or 13
St. Louis- August 14 or 15
Indianapolis- August 16, all by appointment*
Leaving to home for Continuing Student:
Champaign- flight must depart on May 13 or 14
St. Louis- flight must depart on May 15
Indianapolis- flight must depart on May 16, all by appointment*
Champaign- flight must return on August 12, or 13
St. Louis- flight must return on August 14 or 15
Indianapolis- flight must return on August 16, all by appointment*
Housing arrangements should be made prior to your arrival. The International Studies Program can assist you with determining which housing option is best for you. We suggest students arrange to live at Lake Land Living Apartments due to its proximity to campus. For this apartment complex, you must submit housing forms and a deposit of 5 months rent plus security deposit prior to arrival. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information on how to reserve a room at Lake Land Living Apartments. Basic furniture is provided, but students will need to provide their own kitchen utensils, bed linens, etc. Students planning on purchasing a car upon arrival may choose to live elsewhere in the area.
During Orientation, you will meet with an academic counselor and register for classes.
Tuition bills are available immediately after course registration at the Accounting Office and are mailed to your local address 2-3 weeks after the beginning of the semester. Tuition is due by the midterm of the semester; any remaining balance after the due date will incur a finance charge.
