Attention Parents:
Occasionally the Communications and Creative Services Office takes photographs of students in College for Kids classes. The photographs are used in the college's publications, brochures and website. They may also appear on social media sites. If you object to having a photograph of your child taken and/or used in this manner, please contact Community and Professional Programs at (217) 234-5219 prior to the first meeting of your child's class.

The program is ideal for indiviuals who want to brush up on their skills or advance in their careers, people who recently lost their job and students who will soon be entering the workforce.

Hunter Safety Education

This section is for individuals in need of obtaining a license. Learn basic firearm handling and safety. This IDNR-sponsored class meets the education requirement for obtaining a hunting license. A parent or guardian must accompany children 12 and under and register in the no license needed section. The class will meet Thursday and Friday from 6-9pm and Saturday from 8-4pm. Please bring a sack lunch on Saturday. Learn basic firearm handling and safety. This IDNR-supported class meets the education requirement for obtaining a hunting license. Class meets from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, March 16th AND Friday, March 17th, AND 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 18th. YOU MUST ATTEND ALL 3 SESSIONS. A parent or guardian must register and be present with children 12 and under.
