Intro to Indesign Cc

Have you ever seen a terrific-looking brochure or newsletter and wondered how it was made? Chance are the designer used Adobe InDesign CC, the industry-standard desktop publishing software now available through the Creative Cloud. The Course is applicable to any version of InDesign CS4 or newer. In each lesson, we'll cover an important aspect of InDesign CC as you prepare a range of print and online products for a fictional company, Natalie's Nautical Emporium. You'll get dozens of files to work with, including a partially completed InDesign document used to start each lesson. Then you'll use the downloaded graphics, images, fonts, and other content to complete the project. And to check your work or troubleshoot any problems you encounter, you'll always get a copy of the finished InDesign project file.

Problem Solving

Problem Solving/Root Cause Analysis teaches a structured problem solving using the 8-D model. This model utilizes a team approach to problem solving and provides a structured step-by-step format that is easily implemented in any type of business or setting. A variety of problem solving tools are presented. Participants get experience using these tools by working on simulated problems. Participants are also asked to bring a real problem from their work setting; participant's problems are discussed in class and worked through the intial steps of the model so that the participant leaves the class with a work in progress. The class is most effective when participants attend in teams who can return to the workplace and implement together. Companies who have implemented this approach have been able to solve many long-standing problems and to significantly improve their financial performance.

Lean Six Sigma is an advanced process improvement methodology which has been used by companies world-wide to help improve their function and significantly improve their bottom line. The most successful implementations of Lean Six Sigma have utilized a bottom down approach where senior leaders are involved in identification and championing projects and team leaders. Lean Six Sigma uses a project approach to improve work processes in both transactional and operational areas of a company. Projects are identified that offer the opportunity for improved function, reducted waste, better customer stisfaction, and increased revenue.
