The demand for a highly trained, networking-centric telecommunications
workforce is skyrocketing with the complexity surrounding the design, implementation
and maintenance of an Internet-based economy. The Cisco Networking Academy
Certificate program gives people the skills they need to succeed in the
Telecommunication industry and other technologies.
The world economy runs
on information traveling through telecommunications' networks - and companies
today face a shortage of telecommunication workers. It is estimated that
1.6 million jobs will require telecommunications-related experience this
year and of those jobs, 850,000 will go unfilled due to a shortage of qualified
workers.
Students will also learn skills that will prepare them for the engineering
field or science-focused studies at a four-year institution.
