Lake Land College Center for Business and Industry is a provider of testing in the Applied Mathematics/Applied Math and Reading for Information/Workplace Documents examinations. Testing preparation and examinations are by appointment only and is non-refundable. Please register and call 217-234-5087 for an appointment.

Leadership Series

This comprehensive course is designed to provide participants with the skills to become extraordinary leaders within their organization. In this course, participants will develop and enhance leadership skills, and develop individualized and practical skills that will take their leadership skills to the next level and transform them into extraordinary leaders. Grant Writing 102

This course is a continuation of Grant Writing 101. The two-day course goes deeper into the basics of grant research and application writing. Students will learn best practices for finding grants and basic information on search engine, including hands-on practice. Students will learn to write a \"fundable\" grant application based on sound research practices. Students will then learn how to draft an application, explore common grant questions, and critique other students\' applications to identify sound grant making principles.

Lunch will be provided. Students are asked to bring details and supporting documentation for a project they would like to have funded for the first day of class to use for researching grant opportunities and for application writing. Students are also asked to bring a laptop computer for the second day to facilitate the writing and review processes.
