Practical Nursing (CRT.PN)

The Practical Nursing program is a three semester program including classroom, skills laboratory, and clinical experience in a variety of healthcare agencies. Upon successful completion of the program, the graduate may apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nursing (NCLEX-PN). Upon successful completion of the NCLEX-PN, the graduate may apply for PN licensure. Completion of the PN program does not guarantee PN licensure.

Acceptance

Acceptance is tentative pending completion/receipt of the following:


1. Completed Lake Land College nursing program physical exam, proof of immunizations, and current CPR certification. (Note: CPR and immunizations must remain current throughout the program).
2. Completed background check.
3. Maintain an overall grade point average of 2.00.

Cost In addition to tuition and fees, costs for the PN program include: textbooks, uniforms, supplies, physical examination and immunizations, background check, drug screening and transportation to clinical experiences. Additional expenses upon successful completion of the program include NCLEX-PN test fees and PN license fees.

Program requirements may change over time. Specific degree/graduation requirements are determined by a degree audit.
