MATTOON – The Lake Land men’s team completed the school’s Saturday sweep of Rend Lake College, picking up a 107-86 win. It was the third time in six games the Lakers topped 100 points.
Adam Price led Lake Land with 25 points and went 3-for-5 on 3-pointers. Jani Griffith scored 17 points, and Denis Alibegovic added 15. Seven players scored in double figures. Ty Waller posted team-highs in rebounds (eight), assists (six) and steals (three). The Lakers shot 50.7 percent from the field and made nine 3-pointers.
Waller, Allante Harper and Scott McGann had 11 points each, while Tromon Weston added 10.
The Lakers assisted on 22 of their 38 field goals and shot 22-for-27 from the free throw line.
Rend Lake stats were not available. The Warriors are now 11-11 and 3-9 in the GRAC.
Lake Land bumped its record to 10-14 and 4-9 in the GRAC. It will host Shawnee College (10-13, 3-10 GRAC) Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
