The Director monitors all aspects of the TRIO Talent Search Program, has full authority to ensure that the project goals and institutional goals regarding the project are met, and responsible for ensuring that the grant guidelines are followed. The Director is employed 100% under the TRIO Talent Search Grant, operating as TRIO Destination College. At least three years of experience designing, managing or implementing programs for disadvantaged youth required. Demonstrated teaching and/or counseling experience, sensitivity to the needs of disadvantaged students, and ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds required. Prefer an individual with background similar to the target population and knowledge/experience with Talent Search or other TRiO programs. Minimum of a Master's Degree in School and Community Counseling, College Student Affairs, Social Work, Health and Human Services, or related field required. Current open positions include:

  • Social Media Manager: Responsible for the Navigator’s social media presence on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Some content will include publishing story links, creating engaging captions, monitoring online polls, and more.
  • Business Manager: responsible for preparing advertising opportunities. Work with local businesses to advertise in the Navigator.
  • Copy Editor: responsible for proofreading and editing articles to ensure there are no typos, grammatical errors or AP style mistakes.
  • Reporter: responsible for going out and covering various topics in the Lake Land College community. This position requires employees to interview people, research subjects, write articles, fact check and generate story ideas.

PATH Grant Project Manager

The Student Wellness Specialist will monitor students and develop action plans to facilitate referrals to on-campus and off-campus resources. In addition, the Student Wellness Specialist will assist with programs, trainings, and workshops for staff, and students that support holistic student development and success.  The Student Wellness Specialist will provide basic office support for physical and mental health services. Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, human services or related field. Master’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology, human services, or related field preferred.
