CET 020 Mixture Aggregate Technician (3 days)
This is a prerequisite for CET 029 and is also required for PCC Level II certification. The handling and testing of aggregates is covered. In addition, persons completing this course will be able to do the sampling and testing for an aggregate producer participating in the Aggregate Gradation Control System (AGCS), provided the producer has an aggregate technician administering the program.

CET 021 Aggregate Technician (5 days)
Information on the origin, handling and testing of aggregates. Persons completing this course will be able to administer and do the testing required for an aggregate producer participating in the Aggregate Gradation Control System.

CET 027 Mixture Aggregate Technician Upgrade (2 days)
Upon completion of this course, along with the Mixture Aggregate Technician Course, a person will be able to administer and do the testing required for an aggregate producer participating in the Aggregate Gradation Control System. They will acquire knowledge on the origin, handling and testing of aggregates.

CET 029 Hot Mix Asphalt Level I (5 days)
Laboratory testing of HMA using Superpave technology and information on the production of HMA is covered in this course. Successful completion will permit a person to do the testing associated with contracts let under the Quality Management program.

CET 023 Hot Mix Asphalt Level II (5 days)
An advanced course covering proportioning, trouble-shooting and laydown of HMA. Persons completing this course are qualified to manage a Quality Control program for contracts let under the Quality Management program.

CET 031 Hot Mix Asphalt Level III (5 days)
A course covering Superpave mix design. Persons completing this course will be able to do Superpave mix designs for Hot Mix Asphalt.

CET 026 Nuclear Density (1 day)
The Nuclear Density course is a requirement for all persons running a nuclear density gauge on asphalt Quality Management projects. This course covers the use of the Nuclear Density gauge and paperwork involved. It is included in the CET 029 Hot Mix Asphalt Level I course.

CET 030 Portland Cement Concrete Level I (3 days)
Testing and general information on PCC and the IDOT Quality Management program as it applies to PCC. Persons completing this course will be able to do the mix testing for PCC on Quality Management projects and will also receive certification from ACI as a Field Testing Technician – Grade I.

CET 024 Portland Cement Concrete Level II Technician (2 days)
An advanced course covering proportioning of PCC for IDOT Quality Management projects.
Prerequisite:
None; however, the PCC Level II course certificate will not be issued until either one of the aggregate courses and the PCC Level I course have been successfully completed.

CET 039 Portland Cement Concrete Level III (2 days)
An advanced course covering concrete mix design for IDOT Quality Management projects. Persons completing this course will be able to do concrete mix designs in Illinois. A laptop is recommended, but not mandatory for the PCC Level III course to go through the mix design software. Please download the most current software prior to class from the Illinois Department of Transportation website @ http://www.dot.state.il.us/materials/guidesmanuals.html.

CET 035 Portland Cement Concrete Level I – IDOT Only (1 day)
For those who already hold a current ACI card, but do not have IDOT certification, this course satisfies the IDOT Quality Management program requirements. It covers the IDOT Quality Management program and general information on PCC. A person must furnish a copy of their current ACI certificate or card prior to enrolling in this course.

Concrete Tester Course (1/2 day)
This course covers general concrete information and concrete materials testing under the IDOT Quality Management program as it applies to PCC. Persons completing this course will be able to do mix testing for PCC on Quality Management projects, BUT MUST BE UNDER THE DIRECT SUPERVISION OF LEVEL I OR LEVEL II PCC TECHNICIAN.
