IDOT – General Information

  • All IDOT Quality Management Training Program Courses will be held in-person for the 2021-2022 training season. This is subject to change if government regulations mandate.
  • Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, you must wear a face mask that covers both your nose and mouth when visiting any campus location. Mask must be worn at all times except while eating in designated break areas. Please visit the Lake Land College website @ www.lakelandcollege.edu for a weekly update. Link is located top and center of webpage.
  • Students will be required to present photo identification on the first day of class and prior to taking the written and physical exams.
  • Lab classes will be held at the locations listed below; however, all reservations must be made through Kathy Willenborg at (217) 234-5285
    • Lake Land College – West Building, 5001 Lake Land Blvd, Mattoon, IL.

    • Chicago Testing Laboratory, 18000 S. Williams St., Thornton, IL

    • 650 West Grand Avenue, Suite 106, Elmhurst, IL 

      Note: Not all classes are offered at all locations. Please reference the Training Schedule for location and dates.

    • In case of inclement weather, call 217-234-5285 and listen for messages regarding classes.
  • Courses that involve a lab will have a weight limit minimum restriction of 50 lbs or a doctor’s excuse must be given to the instructor prior to the course.

  • Mixture Aggregate Technician Upgrade course is offered for those students who are Mixture Aggregate Technician certified and want to become Aggregate Technician certified. It will be a 2-Day course (CET 027).

  • All registrations for the Portland Cement Concrete Level I Course will be made through Lake Land College. This course will be offered only for students needing ACI certification and IDOT certification. To be PCC Level I certified, both IDOT and ACI, in its entirety, must be passed.
    • Students who posses a current ACI card and wish to get their IDOT certification need to register through Lake Land College for CET 030, PCC Level I –IDOT only.

    • ACI re-certification and ACI retests must be scheduled through Concrete Consulting at 773-775-7558 or by emailing Nicole Galati at RegisterACI-IL@concretece.com.

    • IDOT retests must be scheduled through Lake Land College.

  • To be PCC Level II certified, three (3) classes must be passed:
    • Aggregates – either Mixture Aggregates Technician or Aggregate Technician
    • PCC I/IDOT/ACI
    • PCC Level II

Note: Until all three classes are passed, your PCC Level II certificate will be held by Lake Land College. However, the classes do not need to be taken in any particular order.
