QUESTIONS ABOUT THE VACCINE OR WEEKLY TEST MANDATE
In accordance with the Governor’s Executive Order 2021-20, all Illinois higher education personnel and students who work or attend classes in person must demonstrate that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or undergo weekly testing with documentation of a negative test until they are fully vaccinated. Individuals who have medical conditions or religious beliefs that preclude vaccination must test weekly.
There is no exemption from testing unless individuals are fully vaccinated. Compliance will be monitored and individuals who are not in compliance as described herein will be excluded from campus.
As an Illinois, public higher education institution Lake Land College is required to comply with the Executive Order.
Lake Land College is committed to helping students and employees comply with the testing/vaccine mandate. Those who do not comply will be excluded from campus.
Students taking all online classes do not need to test. If one or more of the classes meet regularly on campus each week, the student does need to test.
Visitors, including prospective students and parents, spectators, test takers and members of the community are not required to test or provide proof of vaccination. Masks covering the nose and mouth while inside buildings are required.
Contractors and vendors must work with College staff to provide proof of compliance with the mandate.

There are no exceptions to the testing mandate. The College will accept only lab-confirmed PCR tests or health care provider proctored antigen tests (no at-home self-tests or antibody tests). The documentation submitted must verify the date of the test, who/where the test was administered, the type of test taken and the results. Unvaccinated students and staff will be required to participate in weekly testing on campus, or submit their results of a test taken off-site by 7 p.m. Wednesday each week.
