Building Construction Technology (AAS.BCT)

Building Construction Technology provides a versatile learning environment consisting of a blend of hands-on learning and classroom activities. The combination of hands-on learning and classroom activities provides a broad understanding of the topics covered, and teaches critical skills that encourage progression in the building construction industry. Graduates are qualified to be building construction technicians, construction manager assistants, construction estimators, computer drafters, carpenters, construction inspectors and building manufacturing representatives. Potential employers include building contractors, architectural/engineering firms, testing laboratories, construction management firms, and manufacturers of building assemblies and products. With additional experience graduates may fill the positions of construction manager or self-employed building contractor.
