VICE PRESIDENT FOR BUSINESS SERVICES

Lake Land College seeks an experienced and energetic leader to serve as its next Vice President for Business Services. Reporting directly to the President, the Vice President is the chief fiscal officer of the College and guides overall leadership and vision for the business services unit of the college. The Vice President works as part of the executive leadership team to provide strategic and innovative leadership and oversight for all business services operations of the College, including strategic planning, development, administration, supervision, and evaluation for the operating departments of the comptroller (finance and accounting), physical plant (buildings and grounds), human resources, information systems and services, data analytics and auxiliary services. The Vice President serves as chief advisor to the President in all matters of planning and managing the finances and general business operations for a College with annual budgeted expenditures of $109 million, and an annual operating budget of $59 million.

The successful candidate must have a Master’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution in finance, accounting, or a closely related field, or a Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting with an earned CPA designation. Additionally at least five years of progressively responsible administrative experience in finance, accounting, business services, employee relations or related field is required. The successful candidate must be able to develop and interpret detailed financial statements, with a demonstrated knowledge of contemporary theories and practices in Finance and Administration.  Public sector or Community college experience is preferred. 

Lake Land College, a public, comprehensive community college in East Central Illinois, serves approximately 20,000 credit and non-credit students and 5,700 FTE annually. The College service area is nearly 4,000 square miles and includes 31 school districts and all or part of 15 counties.
