Visit Lake Land College

Welcome! We are excited to meet you! Through our virtual and on-campus tours, events, and one-on-one meetings, you can learn more about becoming a Laker, discover the many academic areas of study and experiences we provide and connect with an admissions representative who will help answer all of your questions.

Preview Open Houses

Visit Lake Land College and preview all the college offers at our Preview Open House! This event is for potential students who are interested in learning more about Lake Land College, such as touring campus with a student ambassador and learning about student services.

EVENT GUIDELINES

Our top priority is the health and safety of our guests and the Laker community. The Lake Land College Return to Campus Plan outlines the following guidelines:

  • Each prospective student is limited to one guest accompanying them for this event.
  • All guests are required to wear a mask that covers both the nose and mouth for the duration of their visit to campus.
  • All guests will be directed to use Entrance 2 and go through the COVID Check-In Station, where they must prove they have a mask and have completed the COVID-19 Campus Visit Screening Form. Only those who receive a green light via the online self-assessment screening tool are granted entrance to college buildings.
  • Guests and staff must practice social distancing of 6 feet or more while on campus.
  • Prospective students must be registered to attend this event. Walk-in registrations cannot be accommodated at this time.

Campus Tours

We are excited to begin hosting in-person campus tours once again beginning February 8, 2021. Tours are available on the following dates and times:

  • Mondays at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
  • Tuesdays at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
  • Wednesday at 2 p.m.

No tours will be available March 8-12.

To schedule an in-person campus tour, please call 217-234-5232.

For the safety of our students and staff, some buildings and classrooms may not be accessible on the tour. Walk-ins and group tours are not allowed at this time; we apologize for the inconvenience.

If you are feeling ill leading up to your scheduled campus tour, we kindly ask you to reschedule your visit.

Broadcast Communications Open House

Join us for the Broadcast Communications Open House on Friday, March 26 from 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.!

You’ll have the opportunity to check out the College’s student-run FM radio station, WLKL 89.9, The Max Alternative; TV studio and production control room; and professional audio equipment and state-of-the-art camera and video equipment as well as industry-standard digital editing software.
