These programs prepare you with the entry-level skills and knowledge needed to get a job in auto repair shops as service or parts technicians. Recently renovated, Lake Land's Auto Lab includes the latest diagnostic equipment and tools that you'll use to work on vehicles and gain valuable technical knowledge.


Computer & Information Technology is a growing field that offers several focus areas. Career options range from working on the hardware of computers and networks to program for applications and machinery.


There are several concentration areas within Lake Land's Criminal Justice options. Short-term certificates can enhance your skills for a promotion, while two-year degree options prepare you to enter a career in law enforcement, corrections or probation or transfer to a four-year college and earn a bachelor's degree.


Lake Land College has an HVAC-R program designed specifically to teach and train aspiring HVAC-R technicians with the necessary skills to find employment in the local community or anywhere an HVAC-R technician is needed.


Lake Land offers you several options to help people by pursuing a career in the mental health field. Human Services has several concentrations that allow you to focus on a career working in criminal justice or agencies such as health departments, residential facilities and special education classrooms. Psychology and Sociology are Transfer Ready Programs that will prepare you to go on to earn a bachelor's degree in those fields.


As a Lake Land College Nursing student, you can work toward a bachelor of sicence degree in nursing with Southern Illinois University Edwardsville School of Nursing. This partnership allows you to complete a bachelor of science degree in nursing by taking seven additional courses from SIUE. 


The Welding programs at Lake Land provide you with hands-on experiences that prepare you for welding and manufacturing fields. In the welding lab, you will develop skills in the following areas: safety, metal identification, oxy-acetylene welding, metal cutting processes, shielded metal arc welding, gas metal arc welding, gas tungsten arc welding and blueprint reading. Your can choose a short-term certificate program or a tw0-year degree program.
