Financial Aid and voucher transactions must be made in person on campus by the student.
Purchased course materials (workbooks, access codes, etc.) are returnable by the 10th day of the semester (5th day Mod/Summer) with receipt and in original condition.
Merchandise and apparel returns must be within 30 days. Must have receipt and original tags.
It is the student’s responsibility to maintain records that may be necessary for tax purposes.
Students can stop by the Bookstore or Kluthe Center during normal business hours with a valid picture ID (i.e. driver’s license or passport) to get a Lake Land Student ID made.
There is a $10 fee for replacement IDs.
All rented items must be returned to the College by the close of hours on the fifth college business day after the last day of final exams. Beginning on the sixth day, students will be charged new retail price of unreturned rentals.
Cost of defacement or damage will be paid by the renter at the new retail price.
After the period mentioned above, any textbooks that have not been returned to the Bookstore will become the property of the student and the total cost for those books will be added to their bill. At that time books can no longer be returned to the Bookstore and any future financial aid, scholarships, or student loans may be held or applied against these charges.
Students with late textbooks will be blocked from receiving transcripts and will not be able to register for any classes until the books are returned and/or all fines are paid.
Computer and mobile device services are available on a limited basis through the Tech Team located in the Bookstore. Sample services include but are not limited to tune ups, malware/virus removal, flash drive and hard drive recovery, hardware upgrades and replacements, OS re-installs, and mobile device screen repair.
Estimates are free. All work done and advice given by students within the IT or computer repair programs.
Textbook List will need to be printed and taken to the Bookstore (along with your Student ID Card) in order to pick up your textbooks.
Each rented item has a unique number and I am responsible for each unique numbered item rented to me.
I am responsible for returning all rented items to the College by the close of hours on the fifth college business day after the last day of final exams. Beginning on the sixth day, students will be charged new retail price of unreturned rentals.
I will pay the new retail price of each rented textbook not returned to the College by the above date. Restrictions apply for outstanding fees.
I am responsible for the condition of the textbook(s) rented. I will pay the new retail price of each rented textbook that has an unreasonable (determined by the Lake Land College Bookstore staff) amount of underlining or highlighting or in unreasonable condition.
Some textbooks will include CDs. A textbook cannot be returned if the CD is missing or damaged.
I am responsible for any lost or stolen rented textbook(s).
Lake Land College is not responsible for reminding me of the rental return date and is not responsible for returns shipped to the store via any carrier.
I have read and fully understand the provisions and terms of this agreement and I agree to adhere to all conditions and terms as stated.
