Newspaper Editor - Student Newspaper

Part-time, Lake Land College. For students at Lake Land College only. The Navigator News is looking for dedicated students willing to grow and create engaging, accurate and timely content for the monthly student newspaper.

Current open positions include:

  • Social Media Manager: Responsible for the Navigator’s social media presence on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Some content will include publishing story links, creating engaging captions, monitoring online polls, and more.
  • Business Manager: responsible for preparing advertising opportunities. Work with local businesses to advertise in the Navigator.
  • Copy Editor: responsible for proofreading and editing articles to ensure there are no typos, grammatical errors or AP style mistakes.
  • Reporter: responsible for going out and covering various topics in the Lake Land College community. This position requires employees to interview people, research subjects, write articles, fact check and generate story ideas.
