Through our virtual and on-campus tours, events, and one-on-one meetings, you can learn more about becoming a Laker, discover the many academic areas of study and experiences we provide and connect with an admissions representative who will help answer all of your questions.

Visit Lake Land College and find out all the college offers at Laker Visit Day! The event will start in the Luther Student Center Lobby at 9 a.m., running until noon. The event is for potential students who are interested in learning more about Lake Land College, such as touring campus with a student ambassador, meeting with faculty, and learning about student services. A parent/guardian session will be offered.
Would you like to learn more about your opportunities within the Math & Science Area of Study at Lake Land College? Join the Lake Land College Math & Science faculty for the 1st annual Math & Science Open House. This event is open to high school juniors and seniors and is a great opportunity to learn more about Lake Land math and science academic programs, see hands on demonstrations, and tour our facilities and labs. The event will start in the Foundation and Alumni Center at 10:00 running until noon.

Brittany Aitken currently works with our adult student population and can assist them with the admissions process.
Brittany is a 2007 alum of Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Business with a focus on Fashion Merchandising. During her time at EIU, Brittany was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority and served as the VP of Scholarship her senior year. She was also a member of EIU’s Pink Panthers dance team and served as captain her junior and senior years. Brittany resides in Mattoon with her husband, Will, and daughters, Vera and Lola. During her free time, she enjoys remodeling historical homes, baking, kayaking and traveling to anywhere with a beach!

Pam works with our high school student population and can assist them with the admissions process. Ever since Pam was a student worker in the Admissions Office at Lake Land College, it has been her passion to assist students and parents in the college admissions process.
Pam is a 1997 alum of Lake Land College with an Associate in Science in Business Administration, a Bachelor of Science in Marketing, and an Master of Science in College Student Affairs, both from Eastern Illinois University. Pam currently lives in Dieterich with her husband, Caleb, and daughters, Sloane and Saylem. During her free time, she likes to read and listen to audiobooks, loves being outside, and traveling.

Kim Hunter works with our international student population. Any student who wishes to pursue a degree, certificate, or course of student can contact Kim, and she will assist them in the admissions process as well as provide visa tips. Kim also assists students during the transition into American culture.
Kim previously worked as the Intensive English Language instructor at Lake Land College. Before that, she worked with the Oral English Proficiency Program at Purdue University. She has a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Arts in Literature from Eastern Illinois University. Kim has a passion for working with international students and second language learners, and prides herself on being accessible to students, whether they are potential students or those who currently attend Lake Land College.
As expected, Kim has traveled to many countries in the world, which has fostered a love for a variety of cultures. She lives in a rural area with many cats, a dog, and her son, who she is trying to teach to use chopsticks.
