Facing a 40-year-old, aging infrastructure and higher energy costs on the 317-acre campus, Lake Land initiated a multi-year plan called Envision. Educate. Engage. for a Sustainable Future in order to create a replicable energy control system that generates energy while reducing consumption. The holistic approach uses geothermal, solar and wind energy, while creating educational opportunities for more than the 24,300 students Lake Land serves each year.
