HOPE (Coalition Against Domestic Violence of East Central Illinois)

HOPE’s mission is to empower persons to live independent, non-violent lives through the provisions of Housing, Outreach, Prevention, and Education. HOPE maintains two housing programs: the domestic violence emergency shelter and ten transitional housing through local apartments. They also offer a host of programs aimed at decreasing violence in our community, ranging from outreach educational efforts in the local schools to referrals and counseling designed to empower victims to lead self-sufficient, safe, and successful lives. HOPE of East Central Illinois serves Coles, Clark, Cumberland, Douglas, Edgar, Moultrie, and Shelby counties. All services provided by HOPE of East Central Illinois are free and confidential.

Prairie Center Against Sexual Assault

Offers crisis and ongoing counseling for survivors of sexual assault, abuse, and harassment.  Services include individual and group counseling, medical and criminal justice advocacy, information and referral, public education and professional training.

Sexual Assault Counseling and Information Services (SACIS)

SACIS provides crisis and on-going services to victims of sexual violence. Counseling services are also available to the victims’ significant other. Services are free and confidential and include individual and group counseling, medical and criminal justice advocacy, information and referral, institutional advocacy, public education and professional training.

Sexual Assault Family Emergencies (SAFE)

SAFE provides confidential services for survivors of sexual violence, their families and friends. SAFE assists with healing by creating a support system for victims and their families consisting of medical and legal advocacy, counseling and education. They also provide free educational programs for schools and civic groups as well as professional training.
