Earn a Degree or Certificate

Request transcripts that apply to you: high school transcript with graduation date, GED transcript, and any college transcripts. - Submit your ACT/SAT scores online through the ACT and SAT websites and/or take the college placement test.
The placement test consists of math, reading and English. Exemption from the reading requirement may be obtained if you have earned 30 hours of college coursework in good standing from a regionally accredited college or university. To obtain this waiver, you must have an official transcript sent to Admissions & Records. - Apply for financial aid by completing the FAFSA.
It is recommended that all students complete a FAFSA for the purposes of grants or loans. Lake Land College’s code is 007644. - Complete the Lake Land College Foundation Scholarship Application.
Applications are due by 5:00 p.m. February 1 for the following academic year.

Take a Class or Two, But Not Earn a Degree or Certificate

As a non-degree seeking student, you are not required to take our placement test unless you plan to take math, reading or English courses.
Take Only a Summer Transferable Class

- Create a Laker Profile and submit the Application.
- If you are attending a college other than Lake Land, declare yourself a non-degree student.
- If you have taken a Lake Land College class or dual credit class before, you are a readmit student. If you have never taken a Lake Land College class, you are a new student.
- Select your major as NDP.CRSE Transfer Course Enrollee if you plan on only taking summer courses with us.
International Student
Take the first step to your American education by completing our simple application process:

- Fill out the online Application
- Submit diplomas and transcripts from all high schools and colleges you have attended
- Submit a copy of your passport
- Submit the financial affidavit
- Submit an original bank statement showing all transactions from at least the past two months and with a final balance of at least $18,500 (one year’s worth of tuition and living expenses)
- Submit English test scores if you have taken the TOEFL, IELTS, or iTEP. The following are minimum scores required to enroll directly into academic major classes:
TOEFL: 61 ibt
IELTS (Academic Module): 6.0
iTEP (Academic): 3.6
Duolingo: 100
If you are a native English speaker or plan to start in the Intensive English Language Program, you do not need to submit scores.
If you have studied in the United States for at least one full academic year (high school or college), you do not need to submit test scores. We will review your transcript instead.
