An Exclusive Event with Dr. Kathryn J. Edin

Dr. Kathryn J. Edin, a Princeton Professor and leading expert on rural poverty, will discuss here impactful book, $2.00 a Day: Living on Almost Nothing in America – a topic deeply relevant to our community. Following the presentation, Dr. Edin will host a personal book signing, and the first 100 students receive a FREE copy.

SGA Voting

Support your classmates who are running for positions on the Student Government Association by taking part in the elections on the Laker Hub! Show proof of your vote (a screenshot on your phone works) to a Student Life representative and receive a FREE surprise!

Important Graduation Info

If you plan to graduate and participate in this year’s Commencement, you must apply to graduate in the Laker Hub or in person at Admissions & Records by March 20th to be guaranteed seating in the Field House for your guests!

Commencement is Friday, May 15, at 6 p.m. in the Field House.

 
Register for Summer and Fall Classes

Friday, March 6 – the summer and fall schedules are available.
Wednesday, March 25 – summer and fall registration opens!
Between these dates, students who are seeking a degree or certificate at Lake Land College should connect with their academic advisor for clearance to register. Contact information and office hours can be found in the HUB, under Who’s My Advisor. Register early to get the classes you need at the times you want!

 
Run for Student Government Association!

Have you completed 29 or more credit hours? Will you be returning to campus in the Fall? We need YOU to be the voice of the student body by joining SGA! Applications will be available on the Laker Hub from February 20 at 8 a.m. to March 20 at 4 p.m.

 
National Society of Leadership & Success

Invitations for the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) have been sent out to eligible Lake Land College students! NSLS is a nationally accredited honor society open to any LLC student with a GPA of 2.75 or higher. This is an amazing opportunity for our students to grow both personally and professionally.
