Exercising and running: how I release stress and feel strong.
Vacationing: a chance to explore the beautiful creations on this planet. My two favorites include Jamaica for the culture and Estes Park for the hiking and breathtaking views.
Snowmobiling in northern Wisconsin: the feeling of riding across frozen lakes is invigorating, and the scenery from my sled is my happy place.
Family: my girls are active in volleyball, softball, basketball, and track. I've never missed a game or meet!

I love my job and teaching at Lake Land College. I have never worked a day in my life. My greatest joy is watching students walk into the classroom on the first day of class. They often feel nervous about taking a communication course that requires them to present a speech in front of their peers. Sixteen weeks later, I see them leave the room feeling proud, accomplished, self-assured, and chatting happily with their classmates. This transformation is the most rewarding part of my job.
Getting to know students, where they are from, their hobbies, career goals, and so much more is what I love about my job! At Lake Land, I have the chance to get to know every one of the students in my classes.
I love learning about communication and how it has evolved from the Greek & Roman Philosophers to the multifaceted channels of communication we use today.
The levels of communication, from intrapersonal, interpersonal, group, public, and mass communication, are fascinating to learn about.
