Academic Model
Medical Coding & Health Information (AAS.HIMC)
This program will prepare students for management positions in Health Information. Students are instructed in medical ethics, coding, information technology, statistics, management, and medical reimbursement. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will be able to sit for medical coding exams available through national organizations such as the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) and the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).Program requirements may change over time. Specific degree/graduation requirements are determined by a degree audit.
