Mrs. Downs works in financial aid and is a Veteran services advisor at Lake Land College. She is a member of the Illinois association of student financial aid administration, the mid-west association of student financial aid administration, the association of Veteran education certifying officials and a member of the Charleston Bible Church. She received her bachelors degree in family and consumer sciences from Eastern Illinois University.
Coleman Engelkes is a 2016 graduate of Lake Land College where he played on the baseball team and earned an associate’s degree in Business Administration. After his time at Lake Land, he transferred on to Illinois State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness. Today, Coleman is a Commercial Loan Officer with Prairie State Bank & Trust in Charleston, IL. Coleman currently resides in Charleston, where he is a member of the Charleston Country Club and Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Mr. Dragovan works in marketing and public relations at Lake Land College. He received his bachelors degree in Graphic Design from Robert Morris College in Springfield, IL.
Mrs. Lange is employed at Lake Land College as Administrative Assistant to Correctional Programs. She received her bachelors degree in Administrative Information Systems from Eastern Illinois University. She and her husband Kevin have two children.
Ms. McManaway is an Office Manager at PitchCo, Inc.. She received an associate degree in agricultural from Lake Land College and a bachelor’s degree in animal science from Southern Illinois University. McManaway and her husband, Aaron, have three children.
Olivia Mintun is originally from Neoga IL and is a 2012 graduate of Lake Land College. After Lake Land she transferred to Stony Brook University and received her Bachelor’s degree in Health Science. She was a member of the softball team at both Lake Land and Stony Brook. Olivia also has her Master’s in College Student Personnel Services. She is currently employed at Lake Land College as an Admissions Representative. She currently lives in Flora IL with her fiancé and two dogs. Outside of the Alumni Board Olivia is active in Neoga Partnership for Progress, Mattoon Emerging Leaders, and Effingham Sportsbackers.
Kellie Niemerg is the Director of the Effingham Education Center. She attended Lake Land from 2008-2009 before transferring to Eastern Illinois University and graduating with her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. She has been at the college since 2013 and has worked in both Counseling and Financial Aid. She received her Master’s degree from Eastern Illinois University in College Student Affairs in 2016. Kellie currently resides in Dieterich with her husband Craig, and their son Henry.
Mrs. Pals is a former volleyball player at Lake Land and currently is the Corporate Recruiting Manager at Heartland Dental Care. She also belongs to St Francis Catholic Church and YBNext. She received a bachelor’s at Eastern Illinois University in Applied Sciences and Minor in Business Administration. She lives in Effingham with her husband, Matt, and two children.
Cassidy Strohl grew up in Neoga, Illinois, and is a 2016 graduate of Lake Land College. She received her Associate’s Degree in Business Administration and transferred to Eastern Illinois University to receive her Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Master’s Degree in Business Administration. She is currently employed at Heartland Dental in Effingham as a Regional Marketing Strategist. She actively participates in the Unit 40 Mentor Program and the Effingham County and Heartland Dental Relay for Life Team. She resides in rural Neoga and enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends, shopping, attending concerts, and traveling to new places.
Mr. Swing holds an associate degree in Business Administration from Lake Land College, graduating in 2001. He completed a bachelor’s degree in accounting in 2003 and a master’s degree in business administration in 2004. From Eastern Illinois University. Currently, he holds the position of Chief Financial Officer for Vantage Outsourcing in Effingham, Ill. He began his career as an accounting administrator for United Graphics in 2003 and from there, moved up to commercial sales director in 2006.
In 2008, Swing served as an adjunct professor for Eastern Illinois University, where he taught students how to successfully manage a dynamic and functioning manufacturing environment and helped students to develop continuous improvement models. He joined Pinnacle Foods Corporation in 2007 and held the positions of senior financial analyst, plant controller and finally senior cost manager, where he prioritized capital investments and continuous improvement projects, developed and directed financial teams in four plant locations, and integrated newly acquired companies into the financial structure and systems of the parent company, while creating sound fiscal policy.
Mr. Swing currently sits on the Lake Land College Alumni Association Board, Clear Water Service Corp Board of Directors, the Eastern Illinois University Alumni Association Board and is a volunteer on the Eastern Illinois University Foundation Investment Committee.
Mr. Adkins retired after working almost 33 years at Lenders Bagels. He is a member of the Mattoon Moose Lodge, the Mattoon Eagles, the Corn Belt Shrine Club and Wabash #179 Etna. He received his associates degree from Lake Land College in business.
Mrs. Cole is the Director of Data Analytics at Lake Land College. She is a member of Illinois Association of Institutional Research and a member of the Jack Oak Church of God in Greenup, Illinois. She received an associate degree in data processing from Lake Land College, a bachelor’s of arts from Eastern Illinois University and a Master in Management Information Systems at the University of Illinois-Springfield. Cole and her husband, Dan, have two sons, Colin and Andrew.
Hannah Binnion, originally from Assumption, Illinois is currently enrolled at Lake Land College as an Ag Transfer Student. At Lake Land, she is involved in Phi Theta Kappa, National Society of Leadership and Success, Ag Transfer Club, and is the 2019-2020 Student Activity Board President. After graduating from Lake Land College, she plans to transfer to Southern Illinois University at Carbondale to study Human Nutrition and Dietetics. Hannah has plans to work as a Registered Dietitian in a hospital.
Eusebio Briseno is from Arthur, Illinois and currently a sophomore at Lake Land College studying Business Administration. He serves as the 2019-2020 Student Government Association President as well as an Ambassador for the college.
