TEC - 043Occupational Safety courses provide students with instruction in safe operating procedures related to various trades. Course topics may include the importance of standard operation procedures, agencies and regulations related to occupational safety and hazard prevention, and the dangers of particular materials. Course topics and materials should be relevant to the relevant industries and careers within the program(s) offered. CDL ClassroomCDL 090 is designed for students interested in a career requiring a Commercial Driver's License. This course covers topics in practical living for career readiness and personal values and the impacts of behaviors. CDL 043 is designed for students interested in a career requiring a Commercial Driver's License. This course covers the required classroom training under the Entry Level Driver Training Rule (ELDT) and prepares students to take the Illinois Secretary of State CDL permit exam. Explore ERCAThis course introduces students to local occupational opportunities in Agriculture, Health Care, Information Technology, Manufacturing, and Transportation while providing them with opportunities to develop employability skills. The first six weeks are classroom oriented, followed by ten weeks of in field experience with business partners. This is a one semester course, available in both fall and spring.
