What is this program about?

This programs goal is to provide important safety information and knowledge of proper usage of powered industrial truck attachments and the safe operation of forklifts in certain situations.

What you’ll know by the end of this course.

• Be able to navigate up and down a ramp
• Be aware of usage of powered industrial truck in a hazardous environment
• Know the hazards and safeguards of loading docks
• Know the hazards and safeguards for loading a semitrailer
• The safety concerns and proper usage of several forklift attachments

This Training should occur before:

• Before participant engages in said activities

The Program training will include

• Proper fueling procedures
• Discussion and demonstration of proper techniques for using ramps
• Hazards involved in operating a forklift in hazardous locations
• The hazards of loading docks
• The safeguards when using load docks
• Hazards when in a semitrailer when loading/unloading
• Discussion and demonstration of special attachments
• Practical experience with a loading dock
• Practical experience with ramps
• Practical experience in a semitrailer
• Practical experience with attachments
• Making modifications and maintenance
