CDL Class B Behind the Wheel Only (CDL 013)

The Commercial Driver’s License Class B Program is designed to teach the basics of driving, backing, logging, and DOT regulations that pertain to commercial vehicle operators of single vehicles in excess of 26,001 pounds or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.  The CDL Class B Theory course must be completed within one year to be eligible for licensure.

Tuition & Fees

  • DOT Physical & Drug Screen performed at an authorized location
  • CDL Permit Fee $50.00

Course Overview

  • Yard and Road: 80 hours covering pre-trip inspections, backing movements, and control and safe driving of the vehicle on the road

Requirements

  • Hold a valid license for your state of residency
  • Must be over 21 years old for interstate commerce
  • Must be 18 years old for intrastate (in state only)
  • Able to read, write, and speak the English language sufficiently to interact with law enforcement personnel and comply with road signs and rules
  • Pass a DOT physical and drug screen
