CDL Class B Theory Only (CDL 012)

The Commercial Driver’s License Class A Theory Course is designed to teach the classroom portion of the entry level driver training rule.  This course will cover the knowledge needed to operate the commercial motor vehicles as well as additional duties that a driver is required to perform in addition to driving.    The CDL Class B behind the wheel course must be completed within one year to be eligible for licensure.

Course Overview

  • Classroom: 80 hours covering CDL permit study, map reading, logging and trip planning, and DOT regulations

Requirements

  • Hold a valid license for your state of residency
  • Must be over 21 years old for interstate commerce
  • Must be 18 years old for intrastate (in state only)
  • Able to read, write, and speak the English language sufficiently to interact with law enforcement personnel and comply with road signs and rules
