What do I need to know about Financial Aid?

Can I get a student loan?
Request a student loan in your Laker Hub > Student IRIS > Financial Aid Information > Request a Student Loan. Check out our Student Loans page for more information.
How do I pay my bill?
View and pay your bill in your Laker Hub > Student IRIS > Financial > View Account and Make Payments. For those that elect to receive their bill via mail, bills are mailed 30 days prior to the due date.
Are there payment plans?
Set up a payment plan for your costs in your Laker Hub > Student IRIS > Financial > Set Up My Payment Plan. Check out our Nelnet Payment Plan page for more information.
How do I access my 1098-T?
Access your 1098-T forms in your Laker Hub > Student IRIS > Financial > Tax Forms.
Are there scholarships available?
The Lake Land College Foundation Scholarship application allows students to automatically be matched with applicable scholarships. Apply from November 1 – February 1 for the following academic year in your Laker Hub through the “Foundation Scholarship Application” button. How do I get work study?
Apply for federal work study in your Laker Hub > Student IRIS > Financial Aid Information > Federal Workstudy Application. Check out our Federal Work Study page for more information.
How can my parent pay online or get access to my bill?
Grant access to your parent or another third party to your billing details in your Laker Hub > Student IRIS > Financial > Parent Payment Portal Setup. Parents can then log in to the portal here.
Can I get a refund?
Sign up to receive your refund electronically via direct deposit in your Laker Hub > Student IRIS > Financial > Student Refunds – Bank Information. Deadlines to sign up for direct deposit each semester on listed on the Laker Calendar.
Do I need good grades to keep my financial aid?
In order to continue to receive Financial Aid, you must make satisfactory progress towards completion of your degree. Check the status of your Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) in your Laker Hub > Student IRIS > Financial Aid Information> Satisfactory Progress (SAP).
