Why do you want to be on the Student Government Association (SGA)?
I want to be a freshman SGA Delegate so I can speak up for those who are too shy to do so. I believe that working with a team to improve our school and students' experiences here is vital to Lake Land's growth.
What else would you like students to know about you?
Throughout my junior and senior years of high school, I successfully ran a small business called ReadLove. Through that experience, I learned how to communicate with people and how to manage my time. I believe this helped me step out of my comfort zone as well and let me practice advocating for myself and others. After Lake Land, I intend to complete my four-year degree in political science and then attend law school.

Why do you want to be on the Student Government Association (SGA)?
I have plenty of time in my schedule to put into filling this roll. I enjoy helping people and would like to help make LakeLand the best place to be.
What else would you like students to know about you?
I was a state finalist in High School Track. I own a business and working on starting another. I'm training for an Ironman race in June, and I love water sports and to go out on my jet ski.

Why do you want to be on the Student Government Association (SGA)?
I want to be a part of SGA because I want to continue being involved in my school and be a voice for my fellow students. I previously served as the Public Relations Officer for Student Council, where I gained experience communicating with students, promoting events, and working with others. I enjoyed being able to make a difference and be involved in my school community. I believe SGA would give me the opportunity to use those experiences, bring new ideas, and help make our school a better and more welcoming place for everyone.
What else would you like students to know about you?
I would like students to know that I am someone who loves being involved and trying new things. Outside of school, I enjoy crocheting, dancing, golfing, bass fishing, agriculture, and participating in pageants. I love meeting new people and making connections with those around me. I am also someone who is always willing to listen, help when I can, and make the most out of every opportunity. I believe my variety of interests has helped me become a well-rounded, hardworking, and outgoing person.

Why do you want to be on the Student Government Association (SGA)?
Since my freshman year in high school, getting involved in organizations separate from academics has been very important to me. Getting involved in leadership groups is a great way to build connections, establish confidence, and of course have fun. In this position I will make it my goal to represent those who need it and work towards a common good for all students.
What else would you like students to know about you?
In high school I was involved in Student Council, National Honor Society, and Spanish Club. I was the Sergeant of Arms for both Student Council and NHS. In this position I held members accountable to the standards of our organization. On a more personal note, I've played guitar for almost 9 years, learned to 3D print, and started to sketch architecture.

Why do you want to be on the Student Government Association (SGA)?
I want to be a Freshman Student Government Association delegate because I want to make a positive difference in my school and represent my classmates. I believe every student deserves to have their voice heard and I would be honored to share their ideas, concerns and opinions. As a delegate, I hope to help create a welcoming school environment, get involved in important decisions and work with others to make our school a better place. This opportunity would also help me grow as a leader, become more confident and make a meaningful impact during my freshman year.
What else would you like students to know about you?
I would like students to know that I was very involved in many different clubs at my high school which include Key Club, Student Council, Speech Team, FCA, NHS, FFA and Musical. Within these different clubs I held many different leadership positions throughout the years and I made an impact on my school when it came to difficult challenges. I would be the person that students and teachers would come to and trust when something needed done or something needed addressed in meetings. I am very reliable and eager to try new things and get out of my comfort zone.

I want to be involved in the school, so I can understand some of the inner workings of the school. I also want to make the school a better place in whatever way I can.
What else would you like students to know about you?
I am a very hard and dedicated worker, I will do anything possible to help people who need it. I helped people in my school by tutoring them in math and helped them pass and stay eligible in their sports.

Why do you want to be on the Student Government Association (SGA)?
I want to be a SGA delegate because I would like to represent the student body and help make Lake Land College a welcoming and enjoyable place for everyone. I am always eager to listen to others and their ideas/concerns, become more involved on campus, and help plan fun activities where everyone can have fun together. Serving as a Freshman delegate would also allow me to strengthen my leaderships skills while making a positive experience for everyone in our amazing college community.
What else would you like students to know about you?
Hello, I am a first-year student here at Lake Land and plan to pursue a career in Dental Hygiene. I am a very friendly, funny, and dependable guy, that loves meeting and interacting with new people. I hope to bring positive energy to SGA, become more involved with the student body, and grow as a student leader!

Why do you want to be on the Student Government Association (SGA)?
My schedule seems to fit perfectly. I believe it would also be a great way for me to have a little more outreach and feel more connected here at Lake Land.
What else would you like students to know about you?
I am studying to become an engineer and I have always been interested in manufacturing. I like to keep busy by working on older vehicles and jetskis. I have my own flagpole sale and installation business that keeps me busy during my off hours. In Highschool I was a runner, both XC and track, and enjoyed playing pickleball as well.

Why do you want to be on the Student Government Association (SGA)?
I want to be a Freshmen SGA Delegate for a variety of reasons. I have always been in roles of leadership- including but not limited to: High School Class President, Pearl City FFA President, Section 1 FFA President, and Illinois FFA State Reporter. Through these positions, not only have I learned how to work with people, but I have learned how to lead while always looking for the success of others. Being a Freshmen SGA Delegate to me, means being able to help every student have a positive experience using my leadership experience from the past.
What else would you like students to know about you?
I am a goal-oriented person who believes in following my passions and pursuing opportunities to grow. From a young age, I knew I wanted to farm. Growing up on my family’s grain/dairy farm in Northwest Illinois, I am the fifth generation. Farming has taught me valuable lessons about hard work, responsibility, and leadership, which inspired me to start a business alongside my brothers and cousins. Today, I am an owner of Spring Valley Aviation, an agricultural drone application business. I am currently enrolled in the John Deere Tech Program and look forward to continuing to grow as a leader.

I have always enjoyed being involved, taking on positions of leadership, and being someone that others can rely on to make the right decision on their behalf. I would like students to know that I am someone that they can count on. I love to help others and do what I can to be in their corner when they need it the most. I also want people to know that I am willing to get involved in our college as much as possible, meet new people, and help to make every person's college experience the best that it can be.

Why do you want to be on the Student Government Association (SGA)?
I want to be a Freshman SGA Delegate because it gives me the chance to make a difference here on campus. I've always loved giving back to my community, and being a voice for students here on campus would be amazing. Not only would I get the opportunity to be a voice for students here on campus, but I would also get to meet and connect with future students as well as current students. It would also strengthen my leadership and professional skills, as well as help build my resume.
What else would you like students to know about you?
I am a first-generation college student from a small town in Southern Illinois. Growing up, I worked part-time jobs to support myself and my family, which taught me toughness and the value of education and how it shapes you. I am excited to start here at Lake Land, to learn more about the Ag Transfer club, and to meet new people.
