Civil Engineering Technology – Coop (AAS.CETCO)
Work with state-of-the-art technology in the Civil Engineering Technology – Coop Program. This program will prepare you with skills necessary for employment as a civil engineering technician with consulting engineering firms, testing laboratories, utilities and local, state and federal government agencies. Your classes will focus on skills, such as surveying, materials testing, drafting, and construction inspection that are associated with civil engineering. Experience the best of both worlds with a balanced workload between outdoor and indoor work. Surveying, field testing, construction supervision and testing are essentially outdoor work while drafting, design and laboratory testing are indoor work.
This program provides you with a diverse skill set which will allow graduates to choose between indoor and outdoor work to enhance their ability to progress within their chosen specialty. Jobs you can qualify for include:
Constructional engineer
Geotechnical engineer
Structural engineer
Transportation engineer
Locally there continues to be a great need for Civil Engineering Technology graduates. So much so that in the past three years, 100% of the Lake Land College Civil Engineering Technology graduates have been hired into career positions with an average starting salary of $25 to $35 an hour.

Program Options
You can choose from three options:
Civil Engineering Technology, a two year degree program
Civil Engineering Technology – Coop, an extended two year degree program with 15 months of on the job experience
Civil Engineering Technology/Advanced Technical Studies, a two year Transfer Ready program
