Lake Land’s Sociology program has been updated! Check out the new Intro to Sociology SOC 280 and Sociology of Family SOC 290. These courses are both transferable in alignment with the Illinois Articulation Initiative, available in Spring 2027 and every semester onward and a great elective to take if you’re studying Criminal Justice, Psychology or Forensics! These courses with a modern twist study the elements of sociology through the lens of true crime. Use real-life cases seen on the news to study human behavior!
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the job outlook for Social Workers is expected to grow by 6% through 2035, which is faster than average (source: bls.gov).
