The Lake Land College Student Life Office is fully operating during the pandemic. All of our services and events can be accessed virtually, and our offices will physically open on a limited schedule. Please email or call ahead before visiting our office. If you are a current student, we are using the “Laker Point Online” course in Canvas to keep you up-to-date on virtual events and offerings. You can also follow us on Facebook: “Lake Land College Student Activity Board,” “Lake Land College Student Government Association,” and “Lake Land College Navigator News.”

How will clubs be organized during the pandemic? What if I want more information on starting a new club or joining an existing club?
Student clubs will be functioning in the virtual environment and having their meetings through programs such as Zoom. Some clubs are also meeting in person following the college’s COVID-19 guidelines. Please text the Student Life cell phone listed above or email Marlene Meek (email@example.com) for information on how to start or join a club.
What will SGA, SAB, NSLS, and Navigator News meetings/events look like during the pandemic?
The Student Activity Board works to provide Lake Land College students with social and cultural events on Wednesdays at 11 am. There are times during your school week that you need to unwind or relax, and SAB’s function is to help you to do so. SAB brings national touring comedians, musicians and movies to campus as well as plans the annual Welcome Day and Spring Carnival. The best part is that all of these events are FREE to students. Watch bulletin boards, check out the Laker Calendar, and listen to WLKL 89.9 for more information on specific acts.
There are 10 positions currently open for the 2020-2021 academic year. Complete the SAB application and apply today!
