Be a Star at Lake Land College’s First-Ever Welcome Week and Annual Welcome Day!
Join us on Thursday, August 15 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. and Friday, August 16 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. in the Luther Student Center for fun activities and food trucks. Not only will there be food and fun, but you will also the opportunity to attend mini-workshops, meet staff to learn about campus resources, learn some tips and tricks from our Technology Help Desk, and enjoy all the free prizes!
While on campus, be sure to pick up your books. Book pick up hours are Wednesday, August 14 and Thursday, August 15 from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. Then, pick up hours for Friday, August 16 from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
In addition to our new Welcome Week, we will also be hosting our Annual Welcome Day on Wednesday, August 21 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the Field House. Join us for a day of fun, friends, and food! Here, you can mingle with your new classmates, score FREE grub and goodies, and discover how to get involved in Student Life. If you attend Kluthe, be sure to join us in the Kluthe Center Lobby on Thursday, August 22 at 10 a.m. for an exclusive Welcome Day Celebration!
The Student Activity Board works to provide Lake Land College students with social and cultural events on Wednesdays at 11 am. There are times during your school week that you need to unwind or relax, and SAB’s function is to help you to do so. SAB brings national touring comedians, musicians and movies to campus as well as plans the annual Welcome Day and Spring Carnival. The best part is that all of these events are FREE to students. Watch bulletin boards, check out the Laker Calendar, and listen to WLKL 89.9 for more information on specific acts.
