The Student Member to the Board of Trustees, also known as the Student Trustee, is elected in the spring semester prior to the academic year the student will be serving. Applications for Student Trustee are available simultaneously as applications for Sophomore Student Government Association members. It is recommended that applicants apply for both positions. In the event that a student is elected Student Trustee, the student becomes an automatic member of SGA.
Traditionally, applications for both positions are available the final week of February or first week of March. The due date for applications is shortly thereafter, and the elections take place in late March. The Student Life Office publicizes these dates on the “Monthly Stall” posters, online, on the Laker Hub and with flyers around campus.
