Lake Land College will be hosting an open house on Tuesday, December 9 for individuals who are interested in a career in nursing. The Nursing Open House will be held from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the Effingham Technology Center, located at 1201 Althoff Drive.

During the event, participants will have the opportunity to meet with faculty, enjoy hands-on demonstrations, learn about program options and explore the College’s state-of-the-art nursing facilities at the new Effingham Technology Center.

“We are thrilled to invite anyone who is interested in a nursing career, as well as their families, to come and see how Lake Land College will set you on a path toward success,” Director of Nursing Programs/Nursing Instructor Cassie Porter said. “And, it’s an exciting opportunity for prospective students to check out everything we have to offer right here in the Effingham community.”

The event will also include a Q & A session with nursing faculty and staff, giving all attendees an opportunity to ask questions and gain valuable insights into the program, including admissions requirements, financial aid opportunities and more.

Complimentary pizza will also be provided for all in attendance.

Registration is open now on the Lake Land College website at LakeLandCollege.edu/visit. Those interested in attending should register by Tuesday, December 2 to secure a spot.
