Lake Land College’s on-campus Laker Food Pantry played a vital role in combatting food insecurity in 2025, providing students with a total of 6,113 nutritious meals throughout the year.
Located in the Luther Student Center, the Laker Food Pantry provides free groceries to students facing food insecurity. The pantry focuses on providing non-perishable canned and dry goods, including soups, pasta, spices, rice, granola bars, cereal, canned fruits and vegetables, crackers and other shelf-stable foods. The pantry is open during the school year Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. each day.
The Laker Food Pantry is one of many local food pantries supported by the Eastern Illinois Foodbank, which provides food to pantries, soup kitchens, snack programs and shelters across 21 Illinois counties.
