Special Admission Programs
Some of Lake Land College’s programs are considered “special admission programs” which means that acceptance into these programs is competitive. Students must complete an application procedure and meet specific criteria to be admitted to a special admission program. Enrollment into the College does not guarantee admission into a special admission program.
Health Related Programs
Associate Degree Nurse
The Associate Degree in Nurse program is for those interested in becoming an RN or Registered Nurse.
Practical Nursing
As a graduate, you will be eligible to apply to take the National Council Examination for Practical Nursing (NCLEX-PN).
Medical Assistant (Certificate)
The goals of the program are to prepare competent entry level medical assistants in the knowledge, skills and behavior learning domains.
Paramedical Services
Paramedical Services is an intensive program that includes classroom, skills laboratory, hospital and field clinical experiences.
Physical Therapist Assistant
Physical therapist assistants implement components of patient care, obtain data related to the treatments provided, and collaborate with the physical therapist to modify care as necessary.
Massage Therapy
Massage Therapy is a growing career that offers you the opportunity to help people while creating a worklife that meets your needs.
Dental Hygiene
Learn how to care for your teeth and help others with the Dental Hygiene program!
Non-Health Related Programs
Court Reporting & Captioning
This degree program trains you for careers in the judicial setting as either official or freelance court reporters.
John Deere Tech
In this program, you will attend a standard classroom lecture along with gaining laboratory experiences on John Deere products.

How to Get Started
- Complete a Laker Profile and submit the Application.
- Send an official copy of your transcripts
- Submit your ACT/SAT scores online through the ACT and SAT websites and/or take the college placement test.
- Apply for financial aid by completing the FAFSA.
- Complete the Lake Land College Foundation Scholarship Application.
