Effingham Technology Center (ETC)
The Lake Land College Effingham Technology Center is a 100,000-square-foot innovative, modern center that anchors the College’s service to the Effingham region.
In addition to Lake Land College’s premiere Allied Health programs, general education classes and Adult Education opportunities, the facility is home to key business and educational partnerships.
The ETC Partners are:
- CORE ACADEMY, Creating Opportunities for Regional Employment, the Effingham-based career academy for high school students
- Patterson Companies
- Small Business Development Center at Eastern Illinois University Lumpkin College of Business

Effingham Education Center Annual Board Report
Lake Land College has been serving the Effingham community since the College opened in 1966.. Originally hosting classes in area schools and community locations, the College opened the Kluthe Center for Higher Education and Technology in 1995. During those three decades, the College served students and community members at the extension center, until moving all services and programs to the Effingham Technology Center in July of 2025.
