Grab a sweet treat (or two) and enjoy some freshly baked fun at our student cookie decorating social! We’re providing plain cookies from Angie’s Lil Bakery along with all the icing and sprinkles you need to get creative. Come hang out, socialize with other students, and design your own masterpiece while supplies last!
Give hope this Spring by donating blood. Sponsored by the Student Government Association, this event offers donors an exclusive Red Cross x Life is Good t-shirt (while supplies last). Gather your friends for a high-energy round of dodgeball and intramural fun! After the games, head outside to the La Luna food truck to refuel with a FREE meal on us. It’s the perfect chance to compete, socialize with your peers, and enjoy some of the best tacos in town!
Take the next step toward your future at the Lake Land College Spring Job Fair, which is open to all majors looking to connect with top employers. While you’re there, you can get a professional headshot, create a vision board, or get help with electronic signatures and Handshake profile activation. Plus, every student attendee can grab a FREE 20 oz. drink from the Sweeteaz beverage truck!
Celebrate the creativity of our campus at the Art Show Viewing, featuring an impressive collection of work from students, faculty, staff, and community members. Enjoy light snacks and beverages while you peruse local artwork and even connect with some of the artists. It’s the perfect opportunity to relax, appreciate the arts, and support the creative spirit of our Lake Land community!
Get ceremony-ready at our graduation cap decorating and craft event! We’re providing all the supplies you need to design a standout cap. Choose to create yours with us or grab a “to-go” bag of supplies for later. We’ll also have a selection of FREE craft supplies from throughout the year available to create on the spot or take home to enjoy at your own pace!
Experience the island life right here on campus! Grab a FREE Jersey Mike’s lunch and event T-shirt before heading over to test your skills on the mechanical bull* or dunk a teacher in the dunk tank*. With club games, giveaways, and the chance to create your own Stuff-a-Plush friend, there is plenty of fun to go around while supplies last! *Mattoon campus only
If you are graduating in May, you must apply for graduation for each degree and/or certificate through the Laker Hub or in person at Admissions & Records as soon as possible! Call 217-234-5028 for more information. Commencement is Friday, May 15, at 6 p.m. in the Field House.
Score a chance to win one of two College Student Survival Kits, each worth $250, just by staying involved on campus! Every SAB event you check into between March 18 and April 15 counts as an entry—the more you attend, the better your chances. If you can’t make it in person, completing online activities (like the Intramurals Digital Game) also gets you in the running!

Laker Food Pantry is spicing things up with a spice-themed food drive this month! If you’ve got unopened spices to spare you can bring them to the Student Wellness Center to donate to your fellow Lakers.
Join the Active Minds Club and the Student Wellness Center for Stress Less Week from April 20th-24th! We’ll have a table set up with snacks, games, resources, and fun activities throughout the week to help make your self-care a priority.
