Phi Theta Kappa

What is Phi Theta Kappa?

Phi Theta Kappa, or PTK, is an exciting international honor society at Lake Land College that concentrates on scholarship and community leadership. In addition to valuable academic and leadership experience, you will also form lasting friendships with like-minded students through PTK.

The Lake Land College chapter was rated 5 Stars, the highest recognition available, for three years in a row! We look forward to reaching it again this year! PTK has a goal of increasing the number of non-traditional students in our chapter.

What are the advantages?

Being a PTK member comes with many
advantages such as:

  • Scholarship aid
  • Networking opportunities and fellowship with peers and PTK affiliates
  • Participation in educational field trips, social activities and special events
  • Receive honors recognition at graduation, as well as on transcript and diploma

“I am a non-traditional student and I have met so many people of all ages through PTK. The amount of support they offer, and the benefits of membership is amazing. There’s everything from the fellowship of making new friends, to academic help, to the multitude of scholarship opportunities. I’m so glad I decided to join.”    ~Steve Elam
