Intensive English Language Program

Lake Land College provides students with an opportunity to study in a U.S. college without having to provide a language score. The college does not required a score on the TOEFL, IELTS, TEP, or Duolingo language proficiency test.

Lake Land College’s Intensive English Language Program (IEL) provides the opportunity for students to work on language proficiency while attending college in pursuit of a degree. Students who apply to the college without a language score will take Lake Land College’s placement test once on campus. Students are placed accordingly in beginning, intermediate, or advanced level IEL courses. Students at beginning and intermediate levels will be enrolled full-time in the program. Advanced-level students may be co-enrolled in a limited number of regular college classes.

Lake Land College’s Intensive English Language program has resulted in numerous success stories. The program boasts small class sizes, which provides one-on-one attention for students, as well as many opportunities for personal advancement. Students in Lake Land College’s IEL program are also admitted to their degree major, making the transfer from language study to courses seamless.
