PTK Students Named to All-Illinois Academic Team

Two Lake Land College Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society students, Morgan Livingston of Marshall and Jay Bliler of Taylorville, were recently named to the PTK All-Illinois Academic Team.
The All-Illinois Academic Team annually recognizes the top PTK students across Illinois. Students are selected from more than 50 statewide PTK chapters for excellence in academic achievement, leadership and community service.
Livingston and Bliler will both be recognized for the honor at the All-Illinois Banquet on April 16 in Springfield.
Livingston is from Marshall and is studying secondary mathematics education at Lake Land College. She serves as the treasurer for PTK and for the Future Educators Association (FEA). Upon graduating from Lake Land in Spring 2026, she plans to transfer and continue her education at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
Bliler is from Taylorville and is studying in Lake Land’s agriculture transfer program. He serves on the Lake Land College Student Government Association (SGA) as the Student Trustee, the official student representative of the Lake Land College Board of Trustees. Upon graduating from Lake Land in Spring 2026, Bliler plans to transfer to Illinois State University to double major in agribusiness and accounting.
PTK is the leading international academic honor society for students enrolled in two-year colleges. Its mission is to recognize and promote student academic achievement by helping them cultivate professional and leadership skills, secure scholarships and explore diverse career paths.
