Lake Land College Spring Art Show
Artists can submit artwork from now until March 31 for the chance to earn exciting prizes and show off the many talents of our Laker community!
The show will feature artwork from students, faculty/staff and community members, and this year’s optional theme is art surrounding “Authenticity.” Everyone is encouraged to submit their art and share their unique perspective with the campus!

FAQ
How do I get my artwork back when the show is over?
At the Closing Awards Ceremony! Not only can you find out if your piece has won any prizes, it is also the best time to take your art home with you. The 2026 ceremony will be on April 24 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. If you are unable to attend this event, we will hold on to your piece for a week. If you know that you will be unable to pick up your piece during this time, please reach out to idec@lakelandcollege.edu. Unless prior arrangements are made, it will become property of Lake Land College after May 1.
How will the art be judged?
Winners will be chosen by votes from Art Show viewers. Attendees can vote on their favorite pieces online or in person. Our categories this year are: 2D, 3D, Writing and Video/Audio.
When should artists be around to discuss their pieces?
We encourage artists to attend our two events held on Wednesday April 22 and Friday April 24 to speak about their pieces with attendees.
How will my art be displayed?
Artwork will be presented as it is given to us. Works should be delivered in a “ready to hang” condition, framed or otherwise capable of being hung on a wall or displayed on a table or pedestal. Please proofread your submission information as we will use the provided form to list the title, medium, price and description. We cannot frame pieces.
How will written works be presented?
Written pieces will be compiled into a booklet for viewers of the Art Show to read while attending event. These booklets are not made to be taken home. We will also upload them online for digital viewing as well through scanning a QR code to be read at anytime.
