Honors Independent Study
An Honors Independent Study at Lake Land is designed to be an opportunity for a student to investigate an area of interest associated with course content to a larger extent than has been done in the course. This is typically to pursue a course of study that is not typically available under traditional course structure.
An independent study may be completed for a maximum of four (4) credit hours.
To distinguish a course as one that merits an honors designation, it must involve knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis, synthesis, and evaluation. A regular course mainly involves only the first three. Use the Honors Independent Study Guidelines -> Honors-Independent-Study-Contract
