Agriculture Division

Lake Land College is proud to be ranked as one of the top 50 associate degree and certificate producers nationwide, and the College’s Agriculture Division is ranked first in the state of Illinois. The Agriculture Division is a leader in its field offering associate degrees in agriculture business and supply, Ag power and technology, alternative agriculture production, and more. Students receive hands-on experiences in the classroom, real life knowledge in internships, an advantage in the job market, and a network of agriculture faculty and alumni. The Agriculture Division is revered as an industry leader throughout the Midwest and beyond.

Allied Health Division

With a multitude hands-on experiences, Lake Land College Allied Health graduates are ahead of their peers when applying for jobs. Employers seek to hire Lake Land College Allied Health graduates because of their relevant industry skill set and hands-on training. This seamless transfer to the workforce contributes to the health and vibrancy of the local economy. In addition to being well prepared for the workforce, our graduates excel on national board exams with higher passing rates than the national average.

Business Division

Lake Land College business instructors are recognized leaders in their field and provide an excellent educational experience. Lake Land College students will receive hands-on experiences in the classroom as well as real-life knowledge in internships. Not only will students gain an advantage in the job market, but they will also obtain a network of faculty and alumni who assist in securing a new position or transfer. Lake Land students can also practice design and creative problem-solving in the Innovation Lab. Humanities and Communication Division

The Lake Land College Humanities and Communication Division prepares students with a strong general education core as well as hands-on workforce skills. For example, during the past 10 years, students have had a 100% pass rate on the Radio Advertising Bureau’s Radio Marketing Professional Exam. This is a certification test given in the Broadcast Sales course. Students who graduate in these programs often transfer to four-year colleges or are hired by employers based on their unique skill set and academic aptitude.

Math and Science Division

The Lake Land College Math and Science Division adapts teaching methods and styles to provide students with a rigorous curriculum that prepares them to excel when they transfer to a four-year college. In fact, over that last two academic years, 224 certificates and degrees were awarded – a 37 percent increase in two years. In addition, almost 10 percent of all certificates and degrees awarded at the College are in Math and Science.
